- 24/7 Emergecny Plumbing Services

Looking for a plumber Naremburn locals actually trust? Our experienced plumbers handle every bit of it – blocked drains, hot water systems, gas fitting, no-dig pipe relining, leak detection and 24/7 plumbing emergencies – with upfront pricing and no hidden surprises, and nothing to pay for the visit itself.

Plumbing Services in Naremburn

Plumbing Services in Naremburn, NSW 2065

Our team covers the full range of plumbing services for residential and commercial properties - urgent repairs, routine maintenance, new installations, scheduled maintenance visits and full re-pipes - and we work out the cause and the cost before we begin, ensuring you know exactly what you’re agreeing to.

In Naremburn’s older cottages and semis, a blocked drain usually means century-old clay sewer pipes that have cracked, sagged, or become clogged with roots. We send a camera down to find the trouble, clear stubborn blockages with high-pressure jetting, and show you the cause on screen - which, on a shared semi line, saves a great deal of argument about whose blockage it is.

On Naremburn’s narrow blocks and rear laneways there’s often nowhere to dig and no room for a machine, which is exactly where relining shines. We rebuild the damaged pipe from the inside through a single access point, sparing the cottage garden, the paving and the neighbour’s wall - an effective repair that lasts, with minimal disruption to the property.

Whether it’s a compact unit squeezed into a cottage or a larger system in a renovated home, we handle hot water repairs, installation and replacement across gas, electric, solar and heat-pump hot water systems. If yours is leaking, running cold or cutting out, we’ll tell you plainly whether to mend it or replace it - expert advice rather than an automatic upsell, and same-day service on most hot water jobs.

Gas is licensed work, so our qualified gas fitters take care of cooktops, ovens, heaters and gas hot water, run new gas lines for a renovation and supply compliance certificates to current safety standards. If you ever smell gas, don’t wait: call us, open up for fresh air, and we’ll test, isolate and make it safe first.

So much of Naremburn is mid-renovation that a good share of our local work is bringing old plumbing up to scratch. We re-pipe cottages, rough in new bathrooms and kitchens, fit water-efficient toilet suites and showers, and connect extensions to drainage that was never designed for them - planned around your builder’s program and ready for inspection.

A burst pipe in an old cottage or a sewer backing up between two semis won’t wait until morning. We take Naremburn emergency calls at any hour, every day of the year, and can often be there the same day - with the cost settled before we start. Plumbing emergencies arise unexpectedly, so fast response is most of the job.

Local Naremburn Plumbing Knowledge

A Naremburn Plumber Who Knows the Old Cottages and Narrow Blocks

Naremburn is one of the oldest and smallest suburbs in the Willoughby council area, on the Lower North Shore at postcode 2065, about 6 km from the city. It grew up in the 1880s as a workers’ district and still shows it - Federation cottages and weatherboard semis on compact blocks, many reached by narrow streets and rear lanes, and a few sandstone homes built from the old local quarry. The Village sits on Willoughby Road, the freeways cut through the middle, and Flat Rock Gully and its bushland run along one edge.

That history is written into the plumbing. Drainage here was laid generations ago in clay and earthenware; semis often share a single line, blocks are too tight for heavy machinery, and a large share of the suburb is mid-renovation. As local plumbers across the Lower North Shore, we come set up for exactly that - CCTV cameras, no-dig relining gear, jetters, leak detection and gas-testing equipment - so we can work in tight spaces, understand the real fault and price it before we start.

Naremburn Plumbing Problems

Common Plumbing Problems We Solve in Naremburn

The plumbing issues we see most in Naremburn come straight from its age and its layout - old pipework, shared semis, narrow frontages and a constant run of renovations. Here’s what’s usually behind each one, and how we sort it for good.

Worn-Out Drainage in Old Cottages

Naremburn’s cottages were plumbed in clay and earthenware a hundred or more years ago, and that drainage is now well past its prime. Joints crack, sections sag, and roots get in, so drains gurgle, smell or back up long before anyone expects trouble.

How we fix it

We camera the line to see its real condition, jet it clear, and reline or replace the failed run so the cottage isn’t back on the same problem next winter.

Shared Drains Between Semis

Naremburn is full of semis, and a pair often shares a single drainage line, so a blockage or break on one side becomes both households’ problem—and is rarely where the symptom shows.

How we fix it

We camera the shared line end to end to establish exactly where, and whose, the fault is, then repair or reline it and set it out clearly for both sides so the outcome is fair.

Getting Equipment Into Narrow Blocks and Laneways

Many Naremburn homes sit on narrow frontages with rear-lane access and little room to move, which rules out the large excavators a drain repair might otherwise need.

How we fix it

We work with compact gear and no-dig methods, relining pipes through a single access point and keeping any excavation tight, so the problem is solved without tearing the place up.

Tree Roots in Old Clay Lines

Naremburn’s leafy streets and gully edge are lovely, and hard on drainage—sending roots into every cracked clay joint until the line slows and finally blocks.

How we fix it

We locate the root intrusion with a camera, cut and flush it out under pressure, and reline the damaged section so the roots have no route back in.

Stormwater in the Lower Streets Near Flat Rock Gully

The streets that fall toward Flat Rock Gully cop a great deal of run-off, and when old stormwater pits and lines block up, heavy rain backs up into yards and under houses.

How we fix it

We clear and camera the stormwater system, set the falls right where we can, and repair or upgrade the pipework so the water gets away to the gully instead of into the house.

Your Local Naremburn Plumbers

What to Expect When You Book Our Naremburn Plumbers

We keep the process simple, because a plumbing problem in a hundred-year-old cottage is stressful enough. When you call or send an enquiry, you reach our friendly team directly, and we book a time that suits you - often the same day, and around your builder if a renovation is underway.

Your plumber arrives on time, assesses the job properly and checks the wider plumbing system where it matters - on a shared semi line or an old clay run, the fault is often well away from where the symptom shows. We explain what’s happening in plain language, give you options, and you approve a fixed price before work begins.

Then we complete the work to standard, test it to ensure it holds, and leave the work area clean - with a workmanship guarantee behind every job for genuine peace of mind.

Excellent service from R&G Plumbing at my unit. Jeremy was very quick to contact me and arrange an inspection. Once here, Adam was professional, punctual, and quickly identified the issue with my kitchen taps. He clearly explained the problem, completed the repair efficiently, and provided all the documentation I needed afterwards.

I really appreciated the honest advice, attention to detail, and fair pricing. I highly recommend R&G Plumbing to anyone looking for reliable, fairly priced, and professional plumbing services.

Thank you again to the entire R&G Plumbing team!

Jack from R&G Plumbing Gas & Drainage Pty Ltd was outstanding from start to finish. His workmanship was excellent, and he was professional, friendly, and incredibly patient throughout the entire job. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and took the time to explain things clearly, which I really appreciated. The quality of his work speaks for itself, and the pricing was very fair — great value for money. I couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend Jack to anyone needing a reliable and skilled plumber. Thank you Jack

We had a blocked drain in our backyard and R&G Plumbing reached out very quickly. Jeremy gave us a fair quote for jet blasting, so we went ahead. Zac came out and was fantastic. When the jet blasting didn’t work, he found the pipe was completely blocked by long roots and a hole in the pipe

Initially, it looked like the floor would need to be dug up for a 1.5 day job$$, which we couldn’t afford. Instead, Jack kept investigating and found another access point through our neighbour’s carpark ceiling. He organised access to neighbours garage, removed the roots, and repaired the pipe at a much more affordable price. The roots were way worse than we expected.

As a young couple and first home buyers, this was our first time dealing with a plumber and we were pretty stressed since we thought it was a simple blockage but it turned out to be a complex issue. I gotta check the drainage when im purchase property in the future. Learnt my lesson!

Jeremy and Zac explained everything clearly and provided a detailed report and invoice so we can raise it with strata, as the drainage is linked to other units and may have further issues.

Really grateful for the honesty and effort. We’ve definitely found a plumber we trust and would happily connect with Jeremy’s team again.

Very happy with the work and the service. Jack came to give me a quote on replacing 4 taps in the laundry and the Abs came to do the work 2 hours later. Everything fixed quickly on the same day. Both young men were very professional and pleasant. I would recommend them.

My sewer was blocked, and as my normal plumber was unavailable for a week I contacted R&G Plumbing. They promptly attended after my call, and temporarily fixed the problem, but indicated the pipe had to be replaced. After being a bit taken aback by the quote, I accepted due to the urgency of the matter. Abs and his apprentice River (2 days on the job) attended on time a couple of days later to complete the job. Both very pleasant to speak to. It was an all day job to dig the hole through heavy clay, replace the pipe, back fill, and replace a row of pavers. I think they did a pretty good job with the clean up as well. Overall, happy with the reliability and outcome, though I thought a tad expensive. I did ask a general question of replacing 2 washers, and was quoted 3 times more than I actually paid my normal plumber the previous week. Anyway, the job was done to a satisfactory standard, and no complaints. Toss of the coin for 4 or 5 stars, but it came out 4 just for the cost - maybe I live in the past.....?

We had Zac@R&G Plumbing attend a consistently blocking toilet in our apartment. He demonstrated strong knowledge, explaining where he believed the issue lay & what he needed to do to diagnose. On confirming his diagnosis he provided a detailed report so we could provide to our strata manager as issue would require strata approval to fix. Zac was professional, honest & worked efficiently, cleaning up as if he had never been. We would have no hesitation recommending Zac for any plumbing requirement & will definitely use his services again in future. Cheers, Paula

Naremburn Plumbing FAQs

Plumber Naremburn FAQs

How much does a plumber cost in Naremburn?

It depends on the job, so we look before we quote rather than guessing on the phone. With no call-out fee, upfront pricing set before we start and free quotes, the figure you agree to is the figure you pay - no surprises on the invoice.

No. We never charge a call-out fee in Naremburn; you only pay for the work itself, at a price agreed before we begin.

More than a plunger and a hope. On a century-old clay line, we camera it first to see what we’re dealing with, clear it with high-pressure jetting, then camera it again to confirm the line is genuinely clear and to check whether the pipe itself has cracked or sagged. If the same spot keeps blocking, a clean-out won’t hold, and relining is the honest answer - we’ll show you the footage and let you decide.

It comes down to age, the fault and what the repair costs against a new unit. A failed valve or thermostat on a system with years left is worth repairing; a tank that’s rusted through or a unit past its expected life usually isn’t. We test it, tell you honestly which way it falls, and if replacement is the answer, we size the new hot water system to the household rather than swapping like for like.

Yes. The streets falling toward the gully take a lot of run-off, and old stormwater pits and lines silt up over time. We camera the stormwater system to find where it’s failing rather than guessing, clear it, correct the falls where we can, and repair or upgrade the pipework so that water is carried away from the house rather than pooling under it.

Yes, and a great deal of it. Naremburn is full of renovations, so we regularly re-pipe old cottages, rough in new bathrooms and kitchens, and connect extensions to drainage that was never designed for them - all to code and ready for inspection.

Usually, yes. On Naremburn’s narrow frontages and laneways, we rely on no-dig pipe relining, repairing the pipe from the inside through a single access point, so there’s no trench across the garden or the neighbour’s side. If a section really does need excavation, we’ll say so before we start.

Yes. Our emergency plumbers cover Naremburn around the clock, including nights, weekends and public holidays, for burst pipes, blocked and shared drains, sewer overflows, gas scares and hot water failures - with the price confirmed before we start.

Yes. R&G Plumbing is fully licensed and insured for plumbing, drainage and gas across NSW, and every Naremburn job is carried out by a licensed tradesperson and backed by a workmanship guarantee.
